I have this story wandering in my head about this librarian guy who's love life suck, and suddenly he finds a diary of a young girl living in the 1920s mixed with some old books. What I want is basically to experiment with the double parallel story, and also, basically the guy gets tips from the old diary. Do you see any future to such story?

Might be interesting if the idea was pulled off in a believable way.

For a second, I thought you were going to say that the librarian falls for the girl via her diary.

Lambert wrote: For a second, I thought you were going to say that the librarian falls for the girl via her diary. I think I have heard a story like that... or I probably watch something like that on Lifetime some sleepless night.
I think that would be somewhat cheesy, and it makes me think about these movies like "Somewhere in Time" or "The Lake House".
My idea is that the guy, who is quite shy, insecure and mostly ignorant on courtship affairs reads this diary and takes ideas, as if in a way, the girl is tipping him on how to get his conquest.
Now, I want to make it as far from cheesy romance as I am able to. He's a good guy, yeah, but I don't want the story of the quiet guy who is madly in love with this girl. I want the story of this quiet shy guy who is very fond of this girl... but the truth is that he wants to get into her pants! You know, a more realistic approach.
Kind of a "coming-to-age" story, a bit delayed.

Upss! I thought it was better than my other idea! He's possessed by the demon of lust, and starts screwing around until he looses all his friends... but he's having such a rush of adrenaline each time the demon picks up a girl, that he begs the demon not to leave him!
Well, we all have shitty ideas from time to time. It just seem I have them more often than other people!
