Hence putting in this topic on to the forum. I've never had a poem, short story or novel published before. I don't even know how to start.

If anyone out there has some tips, I'm open to suggestions.

Does anyone know about how good Dorrance is for publishing? It's free and supposedly associated with Random House.

Hi... I read your question on yahoo answers.
Well, like you, i dont have any of my works published yet. That's because I'm just 16 years old but I really want to be a writer someday.
I'ts nice to be a part of forums like these. I like it!

I already finished a book and some poems but i'm into writing novels. I'm currently writing my second novel. Actually, I didn't really finish the first one because i thought that the story was really stupid.

anyway, My uncle has a publishing company but i don't know how books get published. hahaha

Try to re-ask your question in yahoo answers. Surely, someone will have an answer.

GOOD LUCK on this forum and on getting published.

Thanks! I'm glad to see that someone from there wanted to join!

I know the feeling about novels. Every time I try to write one, I quit because I think that the story is stupid. I keep hoping that one day I'll get over it and just FINISH something.

The whole "This story is stupid" bit I think is something that always has to happen. Part of writing is changing it into something (hopefully) less stupid.

As for publishing...hmm. I have only ever been featured in school-distributed books so I do not have any personal advice...but I would say keep asking on the net, but treat the answers carefully, not everything on the web is true.

Lambert; something I suggest straight to you is as Mrs. Adams/Ms. Plommer, from school. She may have some advice.

If anything she can help you get started in the right direction.
